born and raised to create
An artistic inclination is something that’s always been a part of me. In fact, I was voted “most artistic” in my graduating grade school class back in Ohio. While that title carries little to no weight today, it was the coolest thing that could have happened to a quiet, fourteen-year-old me, and the validation I needed to continue forward on this path.
Life before PHOTOGRAPHY
New York City has had an influence on me since 2008, when I moved to Brooklyn after landing a job as a designer and art director at a clothing manufacturer. The pulse of the city helped refine my style and aesthetics, so that when I found photography 2 years later I was able to visual express myself with a fresh edge.
a new perspective
Photography forced me to see the world differently like the way light and shadows move through the day to create the perfect mood, and as a backdrop to compositions waiting to be framed.
the wedding photographer
I’m not only documenting your experience, I’m also artfully curating your memories. As much as weddings portray the connection between two people and how they choose to celebrate that partnership, when you combine these emotionally filled events with art direction, a strong sense of portraiture, and a documentarian’s eye—that’s what leads to the captivating and honest imagery that people recognize in my work.
